I've been reading off and on Relentless by Tim Grover, and he has this quote, "if you're aiming to be the best of what you do, you can't worry about whether your actions will upset people or what they're thinking of you."

I don't believe that life is that black and white. There are several elements to that statement, some of which may be misaligned with how people truly are. People are complex and have different traumas that affect how they internalize how people feel about them.
